Our Story

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Luigi Bernardo - owner and founder of the Little Italy Pizza Truck.

I come from a long line of Italian bakers and cooks stretching back generations, across the Atlantic all the way to Italy. My father was a baker at heart; he built brick ovens and operated anything that cooks.
He owned and operated Gigi’s Pizza in New Haven since 1974 until 1999. I worked along side him my entire life, I loved how he could turn simple ingredients into the most delicious pizza I had ever tasted. My grandfather was also a baker!

So as you can see I feel passionate about taking this truck on the road and bringing a little piece of Italy to you and your loved ones as you celebrate life’s greatest moments!
